Extraordinary. Award-Winning. Paso Robles Wines.

Meet the Family

Michael Drucker, MD & Serena Friedman, MD

The winery is owned and operated by Serena Friedman, MD and Michael Drucker, MD, who are both very hands-on at the winery and in the vineyard. Serena serves as the Director of International Sales across all brands and Michael is in the vineyard, day after day, to make sure that every grape cluster is meeting our high standards!

Four Sisters Ranch is definitely a family affair, named after Michael and Serena's four daughters (aka the "Four Sisters"): Sacheen, Elan, Toccara, and Sierra, who each contribute uniquely to our success.

About Us

Our family

Our family

For the past twenty-six years, we have been growing grapes and producing bulk and private-label wines for many renowned wineries in the Napa Valley, Sonoma, Paso Robles, Texas, and internationally. In 2008, with great pride and passion, we released Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah under our own label! Since then, we have released several vintages of our wines, added new varietals, and have received multiple awards and accolades. In 2015, Four Sisters Ranch expanded to feature a beautiful tasting room, event space, and a new series of hand-crafted, small-batch wines (including Méthode Champenoise sparkling wines) available exclusively in our tasting room.

Additionally, our unique position as two medical doctors and wine producers has compelled us to promote the antioxidant health benefits of moderate wine consumption. Dr. Serena Friedman was able to address these health benefits and other issues as a keynote speaker at the Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair as well as the Yantai International Wine Exposition, and she continues to stay on top of the most recent studies and research on this topic.

Why Paso Robles?

Endless articles have been published on the wonderful wines of Paso Robles and we truly believe this to be the next great wine region. Acclaimed wine critic Robert M. Parker, Jr. believes that the Paso Robles AVA along the Central Coast shows some of the greatest potential in all of the state. In fact, Wine Spectator Magazine continues to choose Paso Robles wines as some of their top picks in the world and Wine Enthusiast Magazine named Paso Robles the 2013 Wine Region of the Year!

Centrally located between San Francisco and Los Angeles, Paso Robles is an optimal area for growing hearty grapes and is especially acclaimed for its Rhône grape varietals, such as Syrah. Paso Robles, sometimes called "the new Napa", is known for its favorable microclimates and varying soils from the west side to the east side. Our warm days and cool nights foster the best out of these grapes and result in wines that are lengthy and richly expressive.

Twenty-six years ago, with unbounded enthusiasm, we transformed beautiful land with rolling hills and oak trees into our first vineyard called Oak Creek Vineyard. There was no well, no electricity to pump the water, no irrigation pipes, no trellises or drip lines, and no grape plants when we began. We carefully observed and learned from the development of that vineyard the necessary steps to create vineyards that consistently provide grapes for award-winning wines. With this success, we were able to purchase much additional land on the Estrella River bank in the Paso Robles AVA. After years of attending viticulture classes and working with experienced professionals and consultants, we started developing Four Sisters Ranch into the vineyard and winery that exists today. We now have 433 acres of vineyards planted on 710 acres of land!

We remain very hands-on in the vineyards and every decision is carefully and delicately made with our grape's best interest at heart.

From Our Family to Yours,
Michael, Serena, and the Four Sisters
